Keith Sholes, Oracle

Tell us a little about your company.

Oracle is a multinational computer technology corporation headquartered in Redwood Shores, California. The company sells database software and technology, cloud engineered systems, and enterprise software products.

What is your job title and what do you do in your role?

I am Senior Director, JD Edwards Product Management. I manage a team of product managers who are responsible for JD Edwards applications.  We help customers and partners get the most out of JD Edwards applications and drive new improvements into the product.

What Oracle product do you use and what do you like most about it?

My team is responsible for all JD Edwards applications so I interact with all modules today. My happy spot is Financials as that is where I got my start and spent a number of years learning the solution as a developer and quality analyst.

How long have you been involved with Quest?

I participated in my first JD Edwards user conference in 1994 and have never missed a year since. The Quest community has been a very positive force for JD Edwards over the years. It is the glue that holds the community together and has been a very positive influence on the success of the JD Edwards product.

How have you benefit from being part of Quest Oracle Community?

The Quest Community has been a very positive influence in my career. COLLABORATE and INFOCUS are two highlights that I look forward to every year. Beyond the chance to learn from some of the brightest people in business and IT, I get the opportunity to make new friends and re-connect with old ones, not to mention it is a great opportunity to brush up on my public speaking skills.

What’s one interesting fact about you?

My passion is woodworking where I design and build furniture, gifts, and knick-knacks in my spare time.

Do you have any children or pets?

I have two daughters, Kristen and Morgan, a stepdaughter Ashley, and two grandchildren, Shane and Jaycen, and last but not least, our cat Reece’s.

Thank you again to this year’s award winners for everything you do for the Quest Oracle Community!
