Driving Business Value Through the Digital Transformation of HCM

Shelby Klingerman, Content Curator |

Digital transformation is the change associated with the application of digital technology to radically improve the performance or reach of an enterprise. Within Human Capital Management, you have the ability to automate manual, redundant, time-consuming activities. You can also personalize and simplify your user interface and enable no code or low code extensions.

Oracle’s own Keith Sholes, Senior Director of JD Edwards Product Management, and Mike Jepkes, Director of JD Edwards Product Development, spoke at INFOCUS 18 about how to drive your business value through the digital transformation of your HCM. You can do this with several delivered JD Edwards features, like UX One, Form Personalization and Notifications.

Get a quick overview

UX One Landing Pages

UX One provides an intuitive user experience that highlights important features of individual roles. There are three roles delivered in UX One for HCM—Human Resources Manager, Payroll Manager and Benefits Manager. Each role’s landing page has unique pages that meet the needs of their job functions. For example, the Benefits Manager has a page dedicated solely to the Affordable Care Act because it is a significant component within their job.

With UX One, you can digitally transform your organization by leveraging the delivered UX One Pages, leveraging Page Composer to create your own, provide users with an interface that highlights important features of their roles, and simplify the user interface with form personalization.

Form Personalization

Instead of creating tons and tons of customizations, utilize Form Personalization! It allows you to take a JD Edwards form and make it better fit your organization’s needs. Reasons that have made you customize in the past like removing unused fields or entire sections, adding new fields, rearranging, renaming, making fields required and much more, can now all be done with Form Personalization.

Notifications

Notifications are proactive pushes of information or a requested action. They are defined by business analysts, so there is no need to get a developer involved. There are a number of notifications that have been pre-configured and delivered for you to use within HCM. You can receive these notifications through your JD Edwards system, a browser pop-up, email or text message.

With notifications, you can increase awareness, reduce friction and simplify and improve your business process by leveraging the delivered notifications as-is or as a model for your own use cases.
