Key Considerations for Fluid Roll Out

Project and Timeline

The goal for both AdventHealth and Kentucky Cooperative is to upgrade each year.

Who Drives the Fluid Initiative

At AdventHealth, everyone had the desire and motivation to make the change. The biggest driver was to have user-friendly technology.

At East Kentucky Power Cooperative, it was a collaborative effort. Users were desiring a more modern user experience.

Using Internal IT Staff vs. A Partner

AdventHealth used all internal IT staff, and East Kentucky Power Cooperative primarily used internal IT staff except for specific tasks on the HR side. For those, they used a partner.

Change Management

At AdventHealth, the Fluid applications were very well received. They realized that it was important to get ahead of the training, especially on the supply chain side.

The change was also well received at East Kentucky Power Cooperative in all areas. They had created a Learning Library as a resource, and the most common feedback that they got was that it was very intuitive.

End User Training

AdventHealth used training guides, demos, notifications, applications, and webinars. East Kentucky Power Cooperative also utilized multiple training methods that they found very helpful.

Return on Investment (ROI)

AdventHealth saw a reduction in calls to the Help Desk, but they didn’t perform an ROI because this transition to Fluid was the best choice to coincide with their mission of service.

East Kentucky Power Cooperative also saw a reduction in calls to their Help Desk.

Lessons Learned

AdventHealth shared that there isn’t a reason why you should wait to transition to Fluid. It makes the most sense for both users and customers. Making sure your programmers have the right skillset and training is important.

East Kentucky Power Cooperative tracked every issue that came up and then referenced them later, which was helpful.
