In the last few weeks, I was fortunate enough to be able to spend some time with the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) Product Team. Through our conversations, the continued investment and innovation this team is delivering to their customers was made very clear. For example, since the release of PeopleSoft 9.2 this team has developed 133 new HCM features (you can find information on those features in the Cumulative Feature Overview (CFO) Tool). But there are a few that I want to highlight brought to you by the fluid user experience.
- Employee Self-Service, which provides access to relevant fluid transactions. Fluid transactions for employees include options for managing approvals, time, absence, pay, personal details, talent profile, benefits, and performance.
- Manager Self-Service provides access to relevant fluid transactions. Fluid pages for managers show team learning information and learning compliance pivot grids as well as provide managers with a comprehensive view of their teams. Managers can view personal, organizational, and leave balance data along with information and charts about performance and compensation. Managers can also initiate a wide variety of actions related to job information, time, compensation, development, and performance.
- A fluid version of Candidate Gateway, a way for your applicants to use their phones to apply, is coming out shortly as well.
I learned that 50% of active HCM customers are either on or going to PeopleSoft 9.2 and key reasons for upgrading are:
- Fluid – Improved User Interfaces
- Staying Current – Selective Adoption Model
- New Features and Functionalities
The overall results on the implementation of 9.2 is that, with fluid, there is better system performance, the ability to apply bugs and features without interruption, and improved customers experiences.
The biggest take away I had from my time with the PeopleSoft HCM Product team, however, is that the future is bright. If you want your Human Capital Management to be intuitive, simplified, modern and mobile then you have it right here with PeopleSoft 9.2 and beyond.
