Signing Up For SIGs -- Why It Matters

BrightView on SIGS

We got a chance to hear from two leaders at BrightView, a prominent landscape management company based out of Rockville, Maryland. Gayle Larson, Director, Business Transformation, begins the presentation by promoting the business value of joining a special interest group (SIG) for JD Edwards users like you.

“The more we learn from each other, the better we get …”

“The stronger we get, the more value we add to our companies,” Larson continues. Interacting with peers who are also using the JD Edwards software regularly benefits you in several ways, she says. For starters, you’ll get a chance to participate in a monthly call every third Tuesday at 3 p.m. She also encourages participation in special interest groups for the networking opportunities to meet users experiencing the same pain points and learning how to mitigate them. For faster help, you can even post questions within a SIG forum. These benefits provide a year-round benefit that can enhance your conference knowledge.

Quest special interest groups

There’s a certain exclusive benefit to joining Quest special interest groups, and this is especially relevant to those who are attending conferences this upcoming year. Jim Demes, past Vice President of JD Edwards Financials SIG, informs users that they would play a special part in selecting which sessions will make it to the SIG boards at INFOCUS and COLLABORATE.

Demes points out how to find each SIG on Quest’s website, how to optimize SIG performance, customize selection, frequency of updates and more. From the Quest Dashboard, navigate to “My Groups” if you want to see an extensive number of SIGS in one place.

For more information and the live webinar demo about the benefits of Quest special interest groups, look no further than this JD Edwards presentation. If you love networking and want to meet the best and brightest in the tech business, join us at our Oracle COLLABORATE conference, COLLABORATE 18, April 22-26, 2018!
