Oracle RAC in IBM's PowerVS Hybrid Cloud

Oracle deployed in a Real Application Cluster can provide both availability and scalability when installed in accordance with good practice, and in a fully supported environment. IBM Power with AIX can meet these requirements both on premises and in PowerVS which provides a fully supported option for customer wanting to expand their use of RAC to hybrid cloud.

The IBM Power Systems Virtual Server offering is designed as an extension of Power Systems on-premises environments to provide a frictionless path to hybrid cloud. By building PowerVS upon the same Oracle Certified IBM Power configurations that customers use on premises customers have assurances of the support needed for both development and production workloads.

This webinar will present IBM’s experiences in deploying Oracle RAC in PowerVS, with a focus on how a user can implement the required infrastructure to deploy a robust and supported Oracle RAC installation.
