The State of Tennessee implemented a FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) solution using the extended absence framework inside of PeopleSoft. The goal was to implement as close to vanilla as possible, but also meet the business requirements for a small team within a department charged with managing the FMLA process for more than 40,000 employees. This solution had to be heavy on efficiency with simplified workflow and no duplication of effort.
