During Quest Forum Digital Event: Emerging Technology Day, Carlos Chang, Oracle Product Marketing, presented how Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and Oracle Digital Assistant offer seamless conversational access to make ad-hoc queries like never before. Data is the fuel for AI – the 21st century equivalent to what electricity did for the 20th century. AI will change everything, and companies that aggregate data from multiple sources, enriched with AI, will have a distinct advantage.

The interesting thing about a graph is that we can use it with almost every application. We can view most data sets as a graph, and that gives you the ability to see your data through the connections and relationships between data entities. Once you represent your data as a graph, you can apply graph algorithms to get new insights into your data. In this session, I will discuss how you can create a graph from relational tables in Oracle Autonomous Database, apply graph algorithms to this graph, and use the results in your applications. My goal is to demystify graph analytics and help you get started using graphs in your analytics applications.

In today’s world, the ability to quickly create value from different types of data increasingly provides businesses with a competitive edge. But as companies develop more apps, analytics, and ML to digitize their processes and decision points, they’re faced with a difficult choice: to either optimize for fast application development now or easier value creation from data later. In other words, developer productivity or data productivity. In this session, Maria Colgan will explain how Oracle gives developers the right tools for each job to make them more productive, and IT a unified data tier that makes the reuse of data and overall management simpler and easier.

During Quest Forum Digital Event: PeopleSoft Week, Matthew Haavisto, Director of Product Management for PeopleTools, shared an overview of the latest PeopleSoft analytics features - including Kibana and personalized notifications.

We’re excited to welcome George back for a special session focusing on digital transformation done right:

Without a doubt, companies are eager to join the digital revolution happening across markets and geographies. Many of these efforts labeled digital transformation lose sight of the goal: to create economic value for the owners of the enterprise by making the firm better, faster, cheaper, more consistent, safer, and poised for continued growth. To do this we have to work backward from clear business directives rather than forward from some technological base, no matter how sophisticated that technology may be. President of Business Laboratory, George has seen decades of digital transformation efforts that run the gamut from successful to spectacular failures. In this webinar, we will examine those ingredients of success and put them together into a comprehensive set of guidelines that practitioners can take with them to use after the webinar has concluded.

A recent PeopleSoft Spotlight Series video walked through Kibana basics such as the install, set up, and creation of Kibana.

PeopleSoft has long offered numerous and powerful reporting and analytic capabilities. Now we're raising the bar by enabling Kibana visualizations in PeopleSoft. Kibana is an open source analytic application that uses Elasticsearch indexes to render rich visualizations. Since Kibana uses index data, performance is superior, and there is no impact on transactional performance. Learn how Kibana is embedded right in the PeopleSoft user interface, and how you can create your own visualizations. Another new feature is Personalized Analytic Notifications, which capture business rules and enhance the way users interact with PeopleSoft.

This presentation will give more functional users tips and tricks that I've learned over 20 years of using PeopleSoft.   When we went to PeopleSoft there was so much more data available to us but no one to extract that information and analyze it.

Ever feel that you're so snowed under with PeopleSoft transactions that you can't see the forest for the trees? PeopleSoft has some powerful tools available that can give you the big picture, letting you focus your attention where it is most needed. When those tools let you drill down from insight-heavy graphics to taking action on specific transactions, you have the power to master your workload. BYU has been investing in these visual tools, and we'll demonstrate them in this session.

BYU partnered with Gideon Taylor to create a pivot grid-based tool that helps users see what's happening across thousands of eForm transactions. Related Actions let users drill into the transactions themselves, send emails to participants, and leverage administrative tools, all conditioned on user security.

Gideon Taylor will also review other visualization tools available in PeopleSoft, including Simplified Analytics, Fluid Dashboards, Oracle JET, and Kibana.

Come see what you've been missing!
