Many Machine Learning tasks need to access a lot of data set, which in many cases are stored in a database such as Oracle Database.  It makes a more scalable solution to do the machine learning task in the database, which is called in-database machine learning.  Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)  comes a library of Oracle machine learning algorithms and a set of building tools such as SQL notebooks  for machine learning.  This allows Data scientists to run Machine Learning projects in Oracle Database without moving data. This session will examine Oracle Machine Learning as part of Oracle database  as well as ADW . We will discuss process of machine learning:  analyze and prepare data set;  build and evaluate and apply machine learning model. We also will discuss the  Oracle machine learning features in Oracle 21c such as  AutoML for In-Database Machine Learning and newly added in-database machine learning algorithms for anomaly detection, regression, and deep learning analysis.

Oracle’s Autonomous Database was first released in 2019, initially on 18c and now upgraded to 19c. This paper will go over some of the basic concepts and features of Autonomous Database and walk you through a primer on setting up and deploying an Autonomous Database on the Oracle Cloud.

The interesting thing about a graph is that we can use it with almost every application. We can view most data sets as a graph, and that gives you the ability to see your data through the connections and relationships between data entities. Once you represent your data as a graph, you can apply graph algorithms to get new insights into your data. In this session, I will discuss how you can create a graph from relational tables in Oracle Autonomous Database, apply graph algorithms to this graph, and use the results in your applications. My goal is to demystify graph analytics and help you get started using graphs in your analytics applications.

At Oracle OpenWorld 2019, Oracle announced an Always Free Tier of cloud services. This session will review what’s available with these free cloud services such as Oracle autonomous databases including Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), compute with up to 2 virtual machines, storage including block, object, and archive storage. We’ll explore how these free services work and what can be done with them, such as creating proof of concept systems. Looking for data? No problem! We’ll explore the vast number of free data sources that are available and can be consumed using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Once we combine the two, we can easily pull data into these cloud services while creating fully functioning applications including the use of Oracle Application Express (APEX).

What’s the next role for the DevOps or DBA as the autonomous database and Oracle enhancements free up time? This session will cover the role (managing more databases with autonomous database) & the integration of AI and Machine Learning. Technology is advancing at an exponential rate. This session will show what this means to your company and your future job. See major advances being driven, but also those that will be driven by the autonomous future Oracle is driving ahead.

Enterprise organizations need a modern protection and recovery solution that is capable of quickly recovering databases to any point in time with the least amount of administrative effort from DBAs and backup administrators without impacting the required RPOs/RTOs. This session will focus on how to architect modern business continuity and disaster recovery solutions for business-critical Oracle workloads on VMware Hybrid Cloud environment. This session will also inculcate best practices that need to be taken into consideration when setting BC and DR for critical workloads. In addition to providing disaster recovery, license compliance is another important aspect of setting up an Oracle environment and this session will address how to effectively stay compliant using industry-standard License Management tool.
