As part of any EnterpriseOne upgrade project, there will be customizations to applications and reports that must be retrofitted to vanilla objects after accepting the latest code from Oracle. Traditionally, this retrofit endeavor would be undertaken with the expectation that majority of modifications would carry-over unless perhaps a new application functionality was introduced by Oracle that replaced the customization.
Jump to today with the latest no/low code tools available from Oracle, such as end-user Personalization and configurable User Defined Objects that includes the Orchestrator Studio, JD Edwards clients can now replace their legacy customizations with the appropriate UDO configured solution. With the goal of eliminating customizations that can be replaced, MASYC's approach to retrofitting versus implementing no/low code configured solutions ensures your company optimizes the newest technological offerings while only retaining customizations that give strategic advantages to the business.
This approach results in less customizations to the system post upgrade and thus helps maintain an easier upgrade path going forward.

JD Edwards E1 UDOs such as Personal Forms, Form Extensions and other personalization’s are often an under used feature by users. Often viewed as overly complicated to create and use, these can be invaluable in improving usability and productivity in JDE E1.
By combining tried and true functionality with new tools release features such as Form extensions, Personal forms and custom grids, you can make the E1 experience more robust, your frontline workers more effective and give frequently used application screens a well-deserved make-over.
This presentation will discuss specific use cases of various UDO’s in the GL & Fixed Asset workspaces in E1, with step by step “How To’s” and examples of real time usage.

Creating a business case for upgrading to the latest release of JD Edwards is difficult for many organizations. Better adoption of the system through an improved user interface: enhanced visibility to business operations through intuitive screens: and even faster response to support issues are “nice to haves:” but they are primarily “soft” benefits. Most organizations need a business case comprised of tangible: hard-dollar benefits in order to justify both the out-of-pocket and opportunity costs of an upgrade project. This case study presentation will describe how a JDE customer built an upgrade business case by finding improvement opportunities within their key business functions.
