We demand success, and we demand it now. Traditional methods like manual or spreadsheet-based forecasting are no longer adequate in today’s fast-paced business environment. In a world where agility and accuracy are essential, AI is no longer a competitive advantage—it's a necessity for businesses to stay operational. Accurate forecasting is critical for optimizing supply chains, reducing excess inventory, and maximizing profitability. Companies leveraging AI-driven demand forecasting see up to a 50% improvement in accuracy, leading to better inventory management and cost reductions. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI offers advanced tools to elevate demand forecasting capabilities, turning complex data into actionable insights. This session will explore how product-centric businesses can integrate OCI AI into their demand planning processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making. Attendees will gain a deep understanding of how to tap into the power of AI to forecast future demand with higher precision and agility.

Martin Marietta Materials, US-based leading building materials supplier, is a long-term user of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. To support their growth and changing needs, as part of a larger, company-wide transformation initiative, Martin Marietta decided to consolidate security configurations from two distinct separate instances of JD Edwards into a single shared instance while maintaining two separate Security Workbench tables (one for production and one for all non-production environments) within the shared instance. This initiative gave them the opportunity to evaluate and update their security model.

Reliable security is a critical factor in any large ERP implementation project, but specific priorities change over time:

• At the outset, it’s crucial to have powerful tools to create a robust a security model, with efficient role design as well as a reliable means of identifying and fixing Segregation of Duties (SOD) conflicts.

• Once the consolidated system was live, the focus increasingly moved towards ongoing management of efficient role design and monitoring of SOD to streamline fraud detection and prevention.

Objective 1: Find out how Martin Marietta went about consolidating their roles, resulting in security that is much more effective and easier to manage.

Objective 2: Discuss how Martin Marietta maintained integrity to support multiple security workbench tables simultaneously.

Objective 3: Discuss the challenges and considerations of implementing and sustaining efficient access and SoD controls in JD Edwards

In conclusion, the merger and consolidation of two JDE instances into one provided a more streamlined, scalable secured ERP system to the customer. Learn how not only a consolidated system is more efficient, but also how it has provided the opportunity for clean security data to be merged; eliminating ‘junk data’ and making the security audit easier.

The Challenge:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne remains a critical system of record for many organizations. However, its outdated interface can be a significant hurdle for field personnel like tradespeople and foremen who need efficient and user-friendly tools to perform their daily tasks. This often leads to frustration and hinders productivity.

The Solution:

By combining the power of JD Edwards Orchestrator with the modern UI capabilities of Oracle JET (JavaScript Extension Toolkit), we can create a seamless and intuitive user experience tailored to the specific needs of your field teams.

Here's how:

JD Edwards AIS Server and Orchestrator: These technologies provide the foundation for integrating with JD Edwards and automating business processes. Orchestrator allows you to expose JDE data and functionality as RESTful APIs, making it accessible to modern web applications.
Oracle JET: This open-source toolkit provides a comprehensive set of UI components and patterns for building engaging and responsive web applications. With JET, you can create modern, mobile-friendly interfaces that integrate seamlessly with JDE data through Orchestrator.

Objective:

Empower your field personnel with intuitive and efficient tools that streamline their workflows.
Leverage existing JD Edwards business processes without requiring users to navigate complex menus and screens.
Create a user experience that boosts productivity and user satisfaction.

SMH has been live with project costing for 7 years. We were excited to hear about the recent release of fluid project request as we were already looking for alternatives to our existing paper-based project request form. The good news is that we’ve successfully deployed both and did so very quickly. Our business users immediately saw the value of the new Fluid Project Request. We’ll share our process of evaluating and implementing the project request: How we were able to use page and field configurator and event mapping to tailor functionality, and where we extended functionality to meet the unique needs of the hospital’s capital budgeting process.

Challenges:
In today's dynamic business environment, organizations are often faced with the challenges and opportunities presented by mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. It is during these times that the latest JDE E1 enhancements prove to be invaluable. These enhancements aid in streamlining operations, integrating diverse systems, and providing real-time data insights, which are critical for making informed business decisions.

Solution:
By combining the robust capabilities of JDE E1 with the flexibility of low-code/no-code tools, organizations can achieve a seamless transition during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring that the integration of systems and processes is as smooth as possible. Additionally, these tools can be instrumental in identifying and divesting non-core assets, thereby allowing companies to focus on their strategic priorities.

We utilized low-code/no-code orchestration to automate data extract scripts as part of our separation efforts. This allowed us to streamline the data extraction process significantly. Looking into the future, we are also planning upgrades to eliminate customizations that have become defunct due to the separation, further simplifying our systems and processes.
