With the recent announcement at Oracle OpenWorld, starting in Oracle Database 19c, we are allowed to have up to 3 pluggable databases per container database.  Effective Oracle Database 20c, non-containerized databases will no longer be supported.

By this point, everyone has heard of pluggable databases.  But, what about Application Containers?  In this presentation, we will discuss what they are, why you might use them, and how to build and maintain them.  They are not heavily documented yet, so I will also discuss some tips, tricks, and lessons learned in my initial construction of this extension to the Oracle Multi-tenant Cloud Architecture.
