You have heard a lot about the configurable frameworks that are available in PeopleSoft today, but you might not recognize them as delivered in our modules. Frameworks can be an effective way to help isolate your traditional customizations, replace them altogether, and/or enable you to add functionality that you were not even aware was possible without great cost. Whether you are functional or technical, come to this session where we will show you how to choose the best framework for your customizations as well as share some HCM examples of how other customers have utilized PeopleSoft frameworks.

With the recent PUM 32 release, PeopleSoft has introduced new OffBoarding functionality that works in conjunction with the already delivered OnBoarding. Many organizations neglect the OffBoarding process, but in reality, the process of OffBoarding employees is as important as OnBoarding them.

Discussion of what works well and what doesn't and how OffBoarding can be integrated into you processes. We'll also look at the configuration and how organizations can provide different OffBoarding processes to within your organization.

Everyone has back button experiences and opinions. Joy when it works. Confusion when it takes you somewhere unexpected. Frustration when absent. The University of Minnesota upgraded to PeopleTools 8.56 and fluid user interface in the spring 2019. This was proceeded by a lengthy technical and functional project including fluid tiles, fluid navigation collections, Unified Navigation, and much time understanding and modifying back button behavior. This research and effort produced reliable and predictable back button behavior.

Kick the back button blues (not the St. Louis Blues) and always get back to where you once belonged.

Functional appreciation how the back button works.

Discuss the back button. How it should function, that is, Oracle's intentions vs. our assumptions.

Technical review exposing the back button mysteries.

Special attention to debugging the back button using browser debugging tools. This is available to everyone, not just for developers.

Review "bugs" identified by the University of Minnesota. Discuss back button related modifications. Our modifications were eventually converted to Event Mapping.

See how a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) contractor with over 5,000 users transitioned from hating PeopleSoft to loving PeopleSoft because it started loving them back. Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, (SRNS) developed a unique collaboration for incorporating improvement ideas for PeopleSoft into a Continuous Rapid Improvement Event (RIE) which engages the users alongside the functional and technical PeopleSoft teams to solve real process issues. This engaging methodology has resulted in improved use of delivered PeopleSoft functionality to greatly improve process efficiencies resulting in both hard- and soft-dollar cost savings at Savannah River Site.
