PeopleSoft’s delivered 9.2 Fluid OnBoarding offers a compelling, accessible onboarding experience for new employees. There are some hurdles, though, that can make delivered Onboarding an impractical solution. These include:
-How do you transition data from your Applicant Tracking System to Onboarding to Hire without manual steps and data re-entry?
-To prevent duplicate IDs, you want to gather their birthdate and SSN using Onboarding to see if they already have IDs, but they can’t access Onboarding without an Emplid and a UserID…
-You want them to start Onboarding before their first day of work, especially Section 1 of the I-9, but they can’t access Onboarding until they are hired in Job Data.
-The delivered Onboarding steps are nice, but you need to meet requirements unique to your organization.

In 9.2 applications, the concept of Selective Adoption is introduced with regards to how maintenance is applied to the system.  One of the challenges to taking advantage of this adoption method is if your system has customizations to the delivered objects.  This presentation is designed to show you how you can utilize new functionalities in the latest versions of PeopleTools which provide alternatives to performing those customizations to your PeopleSoft system. We will focus on the top ways to use delivered functionality to meet your business requirements WITHOUT customization to the system. When those tools let you drill down from insight-heavy graphics to taking action on specific transactions, you have the power to master your workload. BYU has been investing in these visual tools, and we'll demonstrate them in this session.

BYU partnered with Gideon Taylor to create a pivot grid-based tool that helps users see what's happening across thousands of eForm transactions. Related Actions let users drill into the transactions themselves, send emails to participants, and leverage administrative tools, all conditioned on user security.

Gideon Taylor will also review other visualization tools available in PeopleSoft, including Simplified Analytics, Fluid Dashboards, Oracle JET, and Kibana.

SPPS is a Minnesota-based public school system and CIT is a technology consulting company, and the two have partnered to successfully migrate SPPS’s PeopleSoft workload to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. ElasticSearch and Kibana will continue to be an integral part of PeopleSoft applications in the future.  With the introduction of any new technology, security risks must always be considered and the technology must be understood. This session will begin with a deep-dive into the PeopleSoft and ElasticSearch integration and security model including index security and row-level security. ElasticSearch does store data and it is important to understand how data is stored and protected on the ElasticSearch nodes and in its indexes. ElasticSearch must be secured the same as all other server components and storage encryption, network encryption, authentication, secure configuration, security patches, and security vulnerabilities will be reviewed.

Hackensack Meridian Health elected to expand its suite of integrated PeopleSoft products by implementing the PeopleSoft Expenses module, replacing the legacy Expensibles product.  Upon final rollout, up to 20,000 team members will be able to create pre-travel authorizations, enter expense reports, and submit/approve via mobile devices.  Hackensack Meridian Health implemented native mobile functionality designed specifically for its expense capture and approval demands. Written in pure Fluid architecture, PeopleSoft allows easy configuration of mobile content, with an extensible framework to accommodate unique processes and configurations.  Working tightly with systems integrator SpearMC, the solution implemented simplifies Hackensack Meridian Health expense reporting, helping team members stay on top of receipts and submit timely expense reports, while also helping accounting tighten its expense cycles.
