PeopleSoft chatbots enter the digital assistant scene and add accessibility to existing PeopleSoft business applications while modernizing the user experience. To get started with PeopleSoft chatbots, customers need an understanding of not only the current and projected capabilities of chatbots but how digital assistants operate within the PeopleSoft framework. Samidha Rege and Robbin Velayedam of Oracle provided foundational information to get your organization started using PeopleSoft chatbots.

Starting with PeopleSoft Update Image 33, you can integrate PeopleSoft Asset Management and Maintenance Management with the Oracle Internet of Things Asset Monitoring Cloud service. PeopleSoft and the Oracle IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud service enable you to gain real-time visibility to your asset's location, health, and utilization. You can track assets anytime, anywhere. Additionally, you can predict asset behavior based on a combination of sensor and contextual data. Predictions use machine learning to identify potential issues before they become problems. 

In PeopleSoft HCM, the PeopleSoft Business Partners feature lets you define specific people in your organization to serve as Human Resources liaisons for groups of employees. You can define groups by work location, business unit, department, job, last name, or any other criteria. The liaisons, or business partners, can be HR generalists or specialists like payroll business partners, benefits business partners, etc. If you have a shared HR service center model, you can define your organization's HR representatives and define the employees they serve.

At RECONNECT 19, Clint Jacobs from Intermountain Healthcare, presented how to make the Supplier Contracts WorkCenter a powerful tool for end users and use pagelets to get key performance indicators (KPIs) in front of them in just a few clicks.

A recent Oracle video gave an overview and benefits of running PeopleSoft on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). 

At RECONNECT 19, David Laden, Director of Accounts Receivable Services at the University of Minnesota, spoke about how to leverage the PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable module for processing your organization’s receivables. During his presentation, Laden discussed design considerations, tips and tricks, and methods to monitor payment processing and open receivables.

The PeopleSoft Chatbot Integration Framework is an important tool that allows PeopleSoft users to integrate PeopleSoft with the Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) and start leveraging chatbots in their organizations.
