Virtual Batch Queues bring long-awaited features to how UBEs are executed and managed on a JD Edwards system. It finally provides true high availability for UBE processing and solves many problems with how a legacy UBE server worked. In Tools Release 9.2.5 you can configure multiple enterprise servers to run any UBE submitted to a Virtual Batch Queue made up of one or more batch servers.

Objectives

Show you how you can use Virtual Batch Queues to keep UBEs processing fast with zero downtime

How you can easily scale your operations based on workload

Using real business cases, this session will demonstrate the use of Orchestrator to mass updates Sales and Purchase Order.

As we all know, cancelling a SO Line have a lot of overhead processing besides just updating the status to 980-999, so using the P4210 is our best way to do it. As far as Purchasing, there is no UBE available to do mass reprice and before orchestrator a custom UBE was the only solution.

Objectives

Business Case 1: Mass Cancel Sales Orders.

With this solution we will take advantage of the Sales Order Entry application to perform mass Order Line cancelations, directly from Customer Service.

Business Case 2: Mass Reprice Purchase Orders.

With this solution we will take advantage of the Purchase Order Entry application to perform mass Purchase Order repricing.

Further discuss the use of these solutions for other Mass Updates on Sales and Purchase Orders.

As organizations increasingly adopt new technologies and applications, proven performance support tools are essential to meet employees at their moment of need to ensure successful adoption. Oracle’s User Productivity Kit (UPK) is an instrumental tool, whether you are implementing new applications, upgrading to a new release, want to better document your processes, capture organizational knowledge, or simply ensure the success of your technology investment in JDE.

Objectives

Learn how iLearnERP partners with organizations to develop new UPK content, to better utilize previously developed content, and to provide training courses in UPK development so that project and training teams can develop courses and materials.

Discover how customized standards ensure consistent training material development and how UPK training content can fit into a full training delivery program with live course delivery, video recordings, webinar sessions and exercises.

Explore other UPK-like options with a brief presentation of other employee performance support tools and what a selection process with an end-to-end support model could offer your organization’s next training initiative.

During this session understand how JD Edwards applications and forms were developed and the limitations that are placed upon the amount of data shown in the header or grid. See how the use of Form Extensions allow users to “expose” additional data thereby decreasing the need to navigate away from the application or developing custom applications.

Objectives

.During the session we will demonstrate:

-How users can “expose” fields initially hidden as part of the native application, even those hidden through the Form Design Aid

-Define multiple form extensions based upon a unique version

-Utilize additional query capability when defining the form extension

-Expose unique “user reserved fields” that may contain outside, integrated data

-Show how items like F4205 Ship Confirm can display fields like the User Defined Reference Field (URRF) that clients use to populate the Tracking number so it can now be visible on the form or used with orchestrator to send notifications

Consumers are exposed to AI every day. From Netflix recommendations to Google Maps routes, these uncannily accurate predictions are powered by machine learning algorithms and predictive models. This type of analytics can help companies run their businesses better, too. To address this need, an innovative trend called augmented analytics has emerged to extend human intuition with computer-generated, data-driven insights. This new paradigm uses automated machine-learning algorithms and models to augment human intelligence throughout the full data analysis and decision-making process. Learn how leading BI tools incorporate built-in machine learning capabilities that can be seamlessly integrated with JD Edwards. In this demo-filled glimpse into the future of analytics, we will illustrate some of the unbiased insights that can be gained from a common JDE infrastructure with AI-enabled advanced analytics, natural-language query and generation, and smart data visualization.

Objectives

Gain an understanding of the machine-learning capabilities already built-in to common BI platforms

Discuss the benefits and applications of AI and machine learning using JD Edwards data

Demo of augmented analytics in action using JDE data and use cases

Imagine a solution that allows you to start all your JDE services instantly on any type of server whether on-prem or in the cloud. A solution that allows you to add and subtract application capacity with the click of a button. Not only that, but it lets you recover from production-affecting issues in moments plus have zero-downtime patching and tools release upgrades.

The good news is you don’t have to use your imagination – you just need containers! Extended downtimes are a thing of the past. The hardware, operating system, and application are untangled from each other to open a new world of flexibility, performance, security, and scalability.

Objectives

Show you how containers work with JD Edwards architecture

How it is different from current technologies including virtualization

Learn how to recover from production-affecting issues in moments plus have zero-downtime patching and tools release upgrades
