Stantec, like many companies, embarked on a journey to Cloud which started with a hybrid Cloud solution with Oracle HCM Cloud and E-Business Suites. They presented at Oracle HCM World. Below are three key takeaways from their session:
1. Oracle HCM Cloud can be an essential part of an enterprise’s cost-saving initiative. Some examples that Stantec provides are:
- The business decided to save money by relying less on external agencies to provide talent.
- The processes and efficiencies that Oracle HCM Cloud provides made is possible to create a talent hub and virtually eliminate the need to hire external agencies.
2.They also take the time to provide us some steps to harmonize throughout a transition to the Cloud.

3.The biggest recommendation they provided was to advocate for the Chief Human Resources Officer to be appointed to the team leading the technology innovation. This positions the HR office as a resource for the entire company.
