Perform Magic with JD Edwards AIS and Orchestrator

Orchestrator is a tool within JD Edwards that can help customers automate business functions within their organizations. Orchestrations can be created by Business Analysts and are simple to create and run. The paradigm of Alert, Analyze, Act in UX One has been reimagined as Detect, Decide, Do for Orchestrator. JD Edwards and other external systems can no detect a problem, decide what to do about it, and do what needs to be done. Orchestrations can drastically cut down the time people spend on tedious actions.

Get an Overview

The foundation for Orchestrator is the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne AIS Server. The AIS Server runs JD Edwards applications in the background, and Orchestrator processes orchestrations saved to the AIS Server to transfer real-time data between EnterpriseOne and third-party applications and devices.

Orchestrations are microservices that can be created by business analysts. With orchestrations, you can perform actions like onboard an employee, send an alert when inventory is low or the status of equipment is down, create a Sales Order, and so much more. You can receive notifications from orchestrations through email, text message or your JD Edwards User Interface.

From a licensing perspective, there is nothing that you have to buy to enjoy Orchestrator and Orchestrator Studio. Both are included in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Core Tools and Infrastructure. However, EnterpriseOne applications that are invoked in orchestrations still need to be licensed.
