Strategy Spotlight
HCM Image 44 is now available for download. Some of the highlights of Image 44 include: schedule and shift change requests through employee self-service, processed absences analytics for administrators, life events analytics for benefits administrators, remote worker eligibility analytics, extended configuration options for payroll direct deposit, a program funding framework that allows for faster rules deployment of state-funded programs like Paid Family Leave, configurable benefits statements, enhancements to the benefit plan compare, and much more.
In case you missed it, the virtual Quest PeopleSoft RECONNECT 2022 user conference was held Oct 10 – 13. With over 2,000 customer attendees and 160+ sessions, customers took full advantage of this PeopleSoft-specific, deep dive conference to catch up on all the latest development initiatives. Focus Group Updates: Click on the link to find a focus group to join
- Job Data Working Group – There was no workgroup meeting in September, our next scheduled meeting is October 26.
- Human Resource – The focus group met to review mockups and provide feedback on the new Personal Data Search Match feature.
- Time and Labor – There was no focus group meeting in September. We are planning on scheduling the next meeting either late October or early November to review the enhancements planned to the fluid timesheet as well as to gather requirements for the fields you want to see in the configurable multiple job selector.
- Absence Management – There was no focus group meeting in September. We are planning on scheduling the next meeting either late October or early November to review the new design for the Absence Self-Service pages.
- Visualization Working Group – In the workgroup’s September meeting, Harvard University provided a demo of their Payroll, Absence, and T&L dashboards. They have 15 years of data in their Absence Dashboard so Managers can view year-over-year data if necessary.
- Accessibility Focus Group – In the October meeting, the focus group received an update on: speech recognition software support in PeopleSoft, W-2 and 1095-C accessibility, and proposed PeopleTools 8.61 accessibility enhancements. There will be no more scheduled meetings for this focus group until 2023.
***Important Note*** Focus Groups are open to all customers, calls are typically once a month for an hour or as needed. Your organization needs to have a current CPCA (customer participation confidentiality agreement) since Oracle discloses future design and prototypes.

- United States – Form I-9 is expiring this October, Dept of Homeland Security has announced significant changes to the form, but has yet to release a finalized new form (TBD). They did announce that organizations should continue to use the expired form until a new form is released.
- Malaysia – The Ministry of Human Resources through the Social Security Organization (SOCSO) implemented new salary ceilings for contributions from RM4,000 to RM5,000 per month starting 1st September 2022.
- Australia – A Mental Health Levy is added to payroll taxes for larger employers starting Jan 1, 2023, to fund mental health services. The levy will only apply to the portion of the wages above the relevant threshold.
- United Kingdom – multiple updates due to the Mini Budget
- Japan – “The National Tax Agency (NTA)” has published new templates for deduction reports for the year ending 2022. Employees need to submit these reports every year to claim certain deductions.
