What’s New In Quest Content?

Speaking of useful content, what can you expect from Quest in 2017? Our content strategy is all about you. Last year Quest earned record customer satisfaction and net promoter ratings for our content. As a Quest member in 2017, you will enjoy a more valuable customer experience through our conferences, webinars, blogs, and other content.

This article focuses on three key aspects of our 2017 content strategy. Quest is covering new content themes. Quest is expanding the kinds of content we deliver. And, Quest is delivering even more useful information that will help you in your job. Keep reading for more details.

One of the best ways to learn more and learn from others is to attend COLLABORATE. Take a look at our special programs for JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and Oracle Cloud Applications customers.  Stay tuned for more information from my colleagues that applies to your JD Edwards or PeopleSoft environments.

NEW CONTENT THEMES

What Quest Has Delivered Lately

Quest’s content strategy has been emphasizing content themes that our members want to learn more about. In 2016 we launched a new strategic content approach based on game-changing enterprise themes, “applicable to all products” content covering cloud, mobility, security, and big data trends. We also launched a new monthly Executive Download email that delivers the best Quest content for enterprise leaders.
We also delivered content that drilled down into how our strategic themes such as Cloud apply to JD Edwards and PeopleSoft customers. Of course, we continued to cover other themes that are unique to the ERP product line that your enterprise runs. For JD Edwards customers, the Internet of Things and the 9.2 upgrade generated much interest. For PeopleSoft customers, Selective Adoption of frequent updates and the new Fluid User Interface were top learning topics.

We also launched at the end of 2016 a new user group, OC2, that delivers content for Oracle Cloud Applications such as the Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle ERP Cloud, including the Oracle Financials Cloud.

What’s Planned That Applies to All Product Lines
In 2017, many of our customers are embracing hybrid clouds of on-premise applications working in conjunction with cloud applications. Hybrid application clouds is a major 2017 content theme for Quest. You will be learning from the experiences of Oracle leaders, customers, and skilled consultants.

We have heard that members would like to learn more about best practices and lessons learned that would apply from organizations in other industries and using various ERP product lines. In 2017, we will launch new content that focuses on crucial business processes such as Hire to Retire and Procure to Pay. We will also launch content of interest to enterprise leaders and strategists such as data governance, change management, and analytics.

What’s Planned Specifically for JD Edwards and PeopleSoft
We will continue to deliver useful content on popular themes such as update and upgrade features and procedures. We will launch content about newer themes such as Digital Transformation for JD Edwards and Selective Adoption for PeopleSoft. Stay tuned to the Quest blogs and Download emails for more information from my colleagues that applies to your JD Edwards or PeopleSoft experiences.

Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are a great to learn more. Also, SIGs give you the opportunity to learn from others and share your experiences dealing with strategic themes and tactical challenges. We are working with SIG leaders and members to deepen the conversations. Stay tuned to the Quest blogs and Downloads for more information.

MORE KINDS OF CONTENT
What’s Planned That Applies to All Product Lines
One dimension of how Quest plans our content strategy and educational content development initiatives is by the customer experience. By product line, our conference and digital content development plans span the phases of the customer ownership experience from strategic planning and purchase evaluation through to implementation, development, and live operations.

We recently launched our initial website Content Centers. Rather than sift through pages of web search results, topic bundles help members navigate through a cascade of guided content that fits where their organization is and where it is going in the customer journey.

We will launch many useful new content centers in 2017, including best practice, customer story, and thought leadership content that applies to all Quest supported product lines. Stay tuned to our Blog and Download emails for further announcements.

Another recent innovation from Quest is customer stories. We have developed a concise story format that helps you quickly learn what others have experienced and learned in their technology journeys.

New for this year, Quest members will gain insights from one of the top industry analyst companies on how to take greater advantage of newer technology innovations. This new thought leadership content will give you useful strategic insights and perspectives that will help you take action amidst the complexities of the dynamic technology landscape. We are excited to offer this high-value content to our members. Stay tuned for further announcements.

MORE USEFUL, MORE FREQUENT CONTENT
What’s Planned for All Product Lines
Quest aspires to offer content that is not merely educational, but actionable. What we mean is, you should be able take action because of how we structure and present our content.

From strategic planning guides – such as mapping out your organization’s “Paths to the Cloud” in a recent webinar series – to how-to implementation and operations content, we aim to help you through your next steps. For example, you may have noticed over the past year that many of our blog posts, magazine articles, and customer presentations suggest next steps to learn more and do more.

In 2017, look for more frequent blog posts. We are excited about our content publishing calendar. By increasing our investment, we will increase the breadth and depth of topics we cover. You will gain new insights and discover ways to learn more.

Also, we will continue to publish our popular Q&A Magazine. Q&A Magazine delivers articles from customers, Oracle staff, and other thought leaders, sharing ideas that you can use.
