- The days when testing was the customers’ problem are long gone. With JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 now a continuous delivery release, it is no longer reasonable for a Systems Integrator (SI) to overlook the importance of testing. Or to make testing the end-customer’s problem.
- During an initial implementation, doing a good job of the functional testing required is essential. And with frequent updates being the new best practice, doing a good job means automating that testing. The functional testing that you do during an initial implementation, after all, is going to be the regression testing that needs to be performed with each update by yourselves as an end-customer or as a managed service provider (MSP).
- If you are an end-customer – do you want to test yourself, buy a testing service, or take a hybrid-approach?
- If you are an SI/MSP – how are you going to differentiate yourself and your services?
