Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) supplies, otherwise referred to as Indirect materials, require different processes and management then the Direct materials which factor into the Production Supply Chain. Compass Minerals is an asset-intensive organization and thus the ability to generate revenue from our assets is directly tied to the uptime and reliability of this equipment. Availability and suitability of the stocked and non-stocked MRO Materials is core to the support of an effective maintenance and reliability program, and we have undertaken many processes and improvements to better align our storeroom operations with our reliability goals.
