Be sure to sign up for Oracle Cloud Free Tier, with New Always Free Services and $300 Free Trial. You must sign up for the free trial before this event to participate in the self-guided labs. It takes just a couple of minutes and you will be all set for the self-guided labs.
Prepare your lab environment:
You will need an active Oracle Cloud account to participate in this lab session. If you do not already have an environment, please follow the steps for a free Oracle Cloud trial account.
Also, please be sure you have the following:
1. A laptop with a modern browser to connect to OCI web console. Google Chrome or Firefox are preferred, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not recommended.
2. For Windows users only. A Windows SSH utility is required to generate SSH key pairs on the client machine and to connect to the Linux based server using Secure Shell (SSH). We suggest either you either download and install the PuTTY tool (http://www.putty.org), or Git BASH (https://gitforwindows.org/).
