To Change or Not To Change – Meeting Your ERP/SIS Needs Is the Question!

Abstract:

Everybody has something to say about switching ERPs, SaaS being the future, and the idea that if you don’t have AI you’re behind. Skipping the sales pitches, reviews, and polls, we’ll take a look at what several decades of research (from multiple sources) have to say since the last time this same decision came around (Y2K anyone?).

If an ERP/SIS upgrade is the “elephant in your boardroom,” we’ll follow the adage of eating that elephant “one bite at a time.” First, we’ll sort out the research into manageable bites, then present meal plans for consuming these bites, and finish with a dessert of how to assess your current PeopleSoft. This is not a demo and no elephants will be harmed. The aim is to equip you to perform your own independent analysis.

Changing Sponsor After Award Generation – Our Solution for the Grants Suite

Abstract:

Grant administrators know the challenge all too well: once an award is created and the contract activated, changing the sponsor can trigger a cascade of manual updates that need to be made across multiple modules. And no delivered solution could reliably update all necessary tables within the grants suite. Until now…

In 2024, the University of Colorado developed a fully automated process that allows for seamless and instantaneous updates to Customer ID, Customer Address, Bill To Contact, Sold To Customer, Ship To Customer, and Bill To Customer values on up to 16 tables across Grants, Contracts, Project Costing, Billing, and Accounts Receivable. This session offers a deep dive into the University of Colorado’s innovative custom solution designed to resolve a long-standing pain point in higher education grants management.
