During this panel session, we will explore how PeopleSoft HCM supports our public sector organizations in optimizing HR processes, payroll, benefits administration, and talent management. Please join the Oracle Public Sector (OPS) Special Interest Group (SIG) for a networking session! The Oracle Public Sector Special Interest Group (OPS) advocates for improvements in Oracle ERP systems such as PeopleSoft Financials and HCM. The OPS membership is comprised of public sector and other institutional users, and we are partners with Quest. We are a volunteer group that has a wide array of expertise in HCM, Financial, PeopleTools and Cloud Services specific to Oracle/PeopleSoft products. Please join us for an open forum session to discuss current challenges and hot topics in the public sector realm. We will introduce new and existing Advisory Group members and discuss current topics for public sector customers using PeopleSoft and Oracle Applications. This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with others that face the same challenges as you, and to share our successes! We will also share some opportunities to engage with us outside of this conference to learn and share information on any new technology or features that you are implementing in your organizations. This presentation highlights the strategic approach and execution of a comprehensive upgrade that simultaneously tackled the PeopleSoft Tools version, the PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) version, and the transition to Fluid. Keeping up with PeopleSoft – Challenges and Opportunities in Public Sector
Abstract:
This session will provide a summary of common challenges and opportunities that public sector organizations face in keeping up with PeopleSoft. It includes lessons learned from our efforts to align with Oracle’s product roadmap and lifecycle management strategy. We will discuss current challenges, opportunities for improvement, and best practices for staying current until we transition to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) or another Cloud ERP solution (SaaS). Additionally, we will explore strategies and newly delivered features designed to reduce customizations to delivered objects, minimizing code retrofit efforts both now and during future upgrades, thereby improving maintainability. To conclude, we will open the floor for a discussion with audience participation, aiming to gain insights into our current ERP landscape and better plan the future of ERP systems in public sector organizations.
