PeopleSoft Cloud Manager Update Image 5 features an automated PeopleTools 8.55 to 8.56 upgrade, PeopleTools 8.56 Provisioning and Provisioning Status, Cloud Manager Self-Update, additional features when utilizing Database Cloud Services and Cloud Manager REST API Support. PeopleSoft Cloud Manager now uses templates to quickly provision new PeopleTools 8.56 environments. It’s easier than ever to monitor the progress of new environments you are provisioning.
The Provisioning Status page shows you the progress of the IP address reservation, the storage volume creation, the virtual machine instance creation and the PeopleSoft installation provision. You can monitor the progress of the environment as it is building by going the environment tile in Cloud Manager, opening the environment detail page and selecting the provisioning status option on the left. PeopleSoft Cloud Manager now shows you real-time environment status after you have provisioned an environment. The system shows you a color-coded status for each node based on the node service availability. PeopleSoft Cloud Manager now allows you to change a variety of environment attributes across the application and web servers when creating a new environment. On the Create Environment page, select the option for environment attributes to customize various credentials as needed.
In order to take advantage of the latest fixes and features, PeopleSoft Cloud Manager can now perform self-updates using Selective Adoption or Manage Updates. To use Selective Adoption, obtain an Interaction Hub PeopleSoft Update Manager source from the “Download Subscription” found in Cloud Manager Repository. When deployed, the interaction hub image becomes the source for the update. Cloud Manager’s Manage Updates feature is new with Image 5. Manage Updates notifies you of critical new fixes and provides a one click update on your production Cloud Manager instance. The update to Image 5 includes additional features when utilizing Database Cloud Services as well as additional REST services now available with Cloud Manager. These include Topology Management, Template Management, Environment Management, Repository Management and Lift and Shift Management.
