Integrating PS with SaaS Analytics While Navigating Corporate Compliance and Other Stakeholders
Presented by:
Charles Benson, Northwestern Medicine
Abstract:
SaaS-based analytics and/or machine learning platforms have the potential to provide millions of dollars worth of insight, but they require access to a LOT of your data.
The two week implementation promised by the vendor is likely based on the simplest possible integration approach: one which almost certainly doesn’t take into account your organization’s security posture, compliance rules, or competing capabilities within your organization.
This session will walk through one such integration between an on-premises PS and a SaaS analytics/ML platform, paying attention to these complexities.

Moving PeopleSoft to the Cloud
Presented by:
Marc Pellen, CZ Health Insurance
Abstract:
In this session we take a look at CZ Health Insurances journey towards the Cloud. What benefits offers the Cloud for running PeopleSoft? What obstacles need to be conquered? What offers PeopleSoft Cloud Manager to overcome our challenges? What role are stakeholders playing in this venture?
CZ Health Insurance is currently running it’s PeopleSoft application on-premise. As part of their Cloud adoption strategy they worked with Blis Digital in discovering their options for migrating their PeopleSoft application to the Cloud.
At the moment (November 2023) the verdict about the way to go is still open. In the presentation we will discuss the journey already made so far.

PeopleSoft expense and milage via Microsoft Teams
Presented by:
William Van Son, CZ Health Insurance
Abstract:
CZ Health Insurance was looking for a way to help their staff by simplifying the way they need to register their Expenses. They were looking for a low level way to enter expense declarations in a way their user base was already familiar with and that was also available both in the office as on the way (mobile). At Blis Digital we found this common ground in Microsoft Teams combined with the Microsoft Power Platform; which was already available to all their users.
Within Teams we implemented a virtual agent (chatbot) through which all employees are able to register their expenses in PeopleSoft. Employees can kick-of the declaration process by just starting to chat with the virtual agent. For regular declarations employees can take a photo, or upload an image, of their receipt which is then parsed (AI Builder) by the virtual agent to extract all available details. Additional required details will be asked by the virtual agent. Before submitting the virtual agent validates the input with the user and offers the possibility to make corrections.
In case the users wants to declare their travel expenses based on distance (miles) the virtual agent will calculate the distance for the users based on the zip-codes from the start and destination location.

PeopleSoft Expenses at HMH: Featuring Google Maps Integration: Fluid UI: and Duo MFA Security
Presented by:
Randall Johnson, SpearMC
Abstract:
This popular session has been updated to reflect recent enhancements to integrate PeopleSoft Expenses with Google Maps at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). HMH expanded its suite of integrated PeopleSoft products by implementing the PeopleSoft Expenses, replacing a legacy Expensibles product.
Upon final rollout: up to 30:000 team members will be able to create pre-travel authorizations: enter expense reports: and submit/approve via mobile devices. HMH implemented native mobile functionality designed specifically for its expense capture and approval demands.
Written in pure Fluid architecture, PeopleSoft allows easy configuration of mobile content with an extensible framework to accommodate unique processes and configurations.
Working tightly with systems integrator SpearMC, the solution implemented simplifies HMH expense reporting, helping team members stay on top of receipts and submit timely expense reports, while also helping accounting tighten its expense cycles.
*This session is CPE Eligible.

Providence’s Experience Moving and Stabilizing in HCM Cloud – Wins and Learnings
Presented by:
Gaylene McCluskey, Providence Health and Services
Abstract:
When Providence started its transformation journey to an integrated ERP platform, its technology landscape consisted of a dozen disparate systems of varying ages and capabilities – a result of decades of mergers and acquisitions. The siloed processes and data impeded even simple activities such as caregivers’ ability to check PTO balances and update personal information. Simplifying and modernizing technology and business processes were key to improve the experience for Providence’s caregivers (employees), enabling them to focus on what matters most – providing quality patient care. The program was internally branded as “Genesis” paying tribute to Providence’s mission and heritage, while symbolizing a new beginning as an integrated and leading-edge healthcare system.
As a united organization – comprised of 500+ members from IT, Business, implementation Partner, and Oracle – the program team redesigned and aligned complex processes, and replaced disparate, outdated technology through the implementation of a single cloud-based solution for HR / Payroll, Finance, Supply Chain and consolidation of multiple instances of workforce management systems into one for ~120K caregivers. Our learnings after implementing and completing hypercare to get to stabilization left us with big wins and learnings.
