Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is BLUEPRINT 4D?
A: BLUEPRINT 4D is a brand new event presented by the Quest Oracle Community, a former host of the popular COLLABORATE conference and presenter of the well-loved PeopleSoft RECONNECT and JD Edwards INFOCUS events. The new event, covering PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Oracle Cloud apps, Oracle Commerce and Oracle Database & Technology, offers both strategic insights and practical how-to education that will expand knowledge and build skills for IT leaders, technologists and business users alike.
Q: What is a hybrid event?
A: BLUEPRINT 4D offers a hybrid event format, designed to encourage participation and engagement with customers around the globe. Customers can choose to attend in-person for a fully immersive event experience or virtually for those who are unable to travel to Las Vegas. Virtual corporate pass options will enable companies to extend conference access to employees who remain at the office or for the whole team to benefit virtually from key sessions and tracks.
Q: Is BLUEPRINT 4D a replacement for the COLLABORATE event?
A: Yes. COLLABORATE has been discontinued following the dissolution of the user group partnership that supported the event. BLUEPRINT 4D includes a robust agenda and programming identical to that offered in the Quest and IOUG Forums at COLLABORATE for the PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Cloud apps and Database & Technology communities. In addition, BLUEPRINT 4D offers the deep-dive practical hands-on learning sessions familiar to attendees of PeopleSoft RECONNECT and JD Edwards INFOCUS.
Q: How does BLUEPRINT 4D compare to the PeopleSoft RECONNECT or JD Edwards INFOCUS events?
A: Over the course of the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, PeopleSoft RECONNECT and JD Edwards INFOCUS expanded to include a twice-yearly spring and fall virtual conference series that incorporated roadmap updates, new release overviews, new feature demonstrations and functional deep-dive education. In 2022, the series continues as RECONNECT and INFOCUS communities will gather in person (and online) at BLUEPRINT 4D for their spring agenda and program, followed by fully digital RECONNECT and INFOCUS Dive Deep events in the fall to continue the learning and knowledge exchange throughout the year.
Q: What does BLUEPRINT 4D offer for the Oracle Database & Technology community?
A: In 2019, the IOUG Database & Technology user group became part of the Quest Oracle Community and the design/delivery of the Database & Technology program at COLLABORATE was assumed by Quest and delivered virtually in 2020 and 2021 through the Quest Forum Digital Event and the INSYNC virtual conference. BLUEPRINT 4D brings the IOUG community back together in person for the first time since COLLABORATE 2019 and includes a robust Database & Tech program designed by the IOUG COLLABORATE selection committee.
Q: Which Cloud Apps will be addressed?
A: BLUEPRINT 4D includes programming and networking for users of Oracle HCM Cloud, ERP Cloud, SCM Cloud, EPM Cloud and CX Cloud. The program includes strategic insights and information necessary for business planning as well as practical, how-to learning to expand knowledge and build skills for Cloud apps users of all levels.
Q: What does BLUEPRINT 4D offer for the Oracle Commerce community?
A: In 2020 the Oracle Commerce user group, Commerce Pros, became part of the Quest Oracle Community and the presentation of their annual INSIGHT conference was assumed by Quest. BLUEPRINT 4D includes a dedicated Commerce education track, incorporating the general INSIGHT agenda and programming.
Q: How can global Oracle customers participate at BLUEPRINT 4D?
A: BLUEPRINT 4D is designed to encourage participation and engagement by the full Oracle customer community, including those living outside North America. The hybrid event format allows global customers to attend in person or digitally. For those attending virtually, special region-specific networking and educational programming is planned, a special virtual corporate pass rate for international attendees will be available and agenda features such as flexible extended session hours, simulcast programming of key sessions and instant replay will allow attendees in other countries to benefit from the full richness of the BLUEPRINT 4D offerings during hours that work for their schedules.
Q: Given COVID concerns, how is Quest preparing for an in-person conference?
A: The health and safety of our attendees is Quest’s number one priority. We are closely monitoring guidance from the CDC, state and local officials while working closely with the venue and partners in Las Vegas to establish appropriate guidelines for in-person participation. Conference attendees will be updated in advance with information regarding final health & safety protocols.
