Simple Freight Broker for JD Edwards presented by Gustavo Barizon from innova 9

Innova9’s solution automates the process of freight quotes by bringing prices and delivery dates from several carriers. You can choose the best price or delivery date – or something in between – with detailed information directly from the carrier. All within JD Edwards, using the Shipment Confirmation screen – or any other custom process, with the portal embedded as a CafeOne. The system consolidates the quantities, weights, and measurements from the order and uses the mailing addresses from the Address Book, sending the right information for a precise quote.

Once you confirm the shipment details, the system automatically creates the freight and insurance lines, updates the carrier number, and sends the shipping label as a Media Object in the order. If using the transportation module, the product updates all the freight-related information such as delivery date and time, pick up date and time, and many more.  You can also have a map as a visual cue for the transported loads destination, so you’ll make sure no mistakes will happen, in case of JD Edwards Address Book’s inconsistencies before making the shipment confirmation.
The product can extend the reach for your particular carrier. The system is fully extendable for adding as many carriers as needed. Just get the carrier API and we’ll plug it in as the product can personalize the confirmation documentation receipts, other than a label, via email, Media Objects, FTP sites, or any Cloud repository systems.

Using OTM? Yes, we can also connect the freight broker with OTM for a better quoting experience.  The best part of it: there’s not a single line of code in this solution. No EnterpriseOne customizations, no table generations, no package builds: only using the power of Orchestrator, low-code platforms, and Web APIs.
