Focus Group Updates: Click on the link to find a focus group to join
- ERP – Focus group met in January to provide feedback for a new feature Sectionalized Homepages (coming soon) that will allow your organization’s administrators to create targeted Homepages for your users, divided into logical sections containing static and dynamic content targeted to a user or group role, perhaps an employee that’s also a manager.
- Grants – The focus group met in January to review and provide feedback on an upcoming Award Insights Dashboard that would display both financial and non-financial information for your awards. We also reviewed plans to extend the Project Update Wizard to include award and contract attributes allowing you to update your contracts and awards en masse through an activity guide. We plan to meet again in March to demo these features.
- Page and Field Configurator – The focus group met in January to discuss requirements for new Change Tracking Notifications. Using Page and Field Configurator Change Tracking functionality and the Notification Composer, new functionality would send notifications to administrators and end users when changes are made in PeopleSoft. We discussed the need for configuring criteria and thresholds for notifications as a key design element to this functionality.
- Accounts Payable – Focus group met in January to discuss improvements to Match Exception Collaboration Center, specifically ability to mass assign exceptions at voucher level.
- ePro – Focus group will meet to discuss the ability to specify which Receivers a specific Requester can receive for. This is a high priority request from customers and will allow a casual Requester to receive other Requester’s pending receipts across multiple Ship to’s. Focus Group will meet later in February
- ePro –In Image 46 we delivered the ability to support ‘Bill Only’ and ‘Bill and Replace’ flows. We will take the next steps and discuss with the focus group enhancement to automate the creation of these Requisitions and Purchase Orders reducing potential keying errors and improving the overall efficiency of the Implant process.
- Project Costing ***NEW FOCUS GROUP***We are starting a new focus group to discuss changes to the Asset Capitalization process in Project Costing. This group will provide input on new tools to streamline the review and classification of Project Costing transactions for capitalization and integration into Asset Management. If you are interested in joining this discussion, please contact joe.willever@oracle.com.
***Important Note*** Focus Groups are open to all customers; calls are typically once a month for an hour or as needed. Your organization needs to have a current CPCA (customer participation confidentiality agreement) since Oracle discloses future design and prototypes.
