Meet the Board: Becky Ivy of Baylor University

Becky Ivy joined Baylor University in August 2010. She currently holds the role of Assistant Vice President of HR where she and her team support faculty, staff, and students through a variety of Human Resource programs utilizing Oracle Cloud HCM. Baylor University embarked on the journey to the cloud starting in 2018, going live in June of 2020. This transition included streamlining all the university’s financial, procurement, payroll, and human resources transactions from a variety of systems into one system of record. Becky serviced as the HCM Project Manager for this transformation.
Her previous positions at Baylor include the roles of Director of HR Consulting and Senior Recruiter. She has over fifteen years of experience in areas of executive level recruitment and leadership including performance management, project implementation and execution. At Baylor, she has also served as a member of the Student Organization Judicial Board, as the Faculty Advisor to Delta Sigma Pi, and as Baylor’s United Way Campaign Chair. Additionally, she served as the Chair for Workforce Readiness on the Board for Heart of Texas chapter for the Society of Human Resources (SHRM). Prior to Baylor, Becky was employed with Target as an HR Business Partner and Senior Recruiter within Distribution and Supply Chain.
Becky joined the Quest Board of Directors effective January 1, 2022. When asked what interests her most about serving on the Quest board and how she interprets the value of Quest for her organization, Becky says, “My interest in serving on the Board really centers around connecting with other Oracle users, sharing my experience with implementation and usage, supporting others on their journey to the cloud and working with a group of like-interested partners to influence and affect system updates and enhancements.”
She added, “Quest provides unmatched expertise and opportunities to tap into others’ Oracle experience and knowledge. Members are more than willing to share insights and helpful information through groups, connections, events, and free digital learning options. It’s a welcoming community that always has the interest of the user in mind and maintains a sound relationship with Oracle that benefits all.”
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor and received a master’s degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Penn State University.
Becky resides in Waco, TX with her husband and two daughters where they are active members in their community. In her spare time, you can find her cheering on Baylor Bear Athletics, watching Star Wars or enjoying all things related to the great outdoors.
