Genpact, global professional services firm, is leveraging Oracle Analytics Cloud features to make business transformation a reality for its customers. Genpact drives digital-led innovation and digitally-enabled intelligent operations for clients. The company was founded in 1997 as a business unit within General Electric. Genpact became an independent company in 2005 and became a publicly-traded company in 2007. They have over 80,000 employees and bring in over $3 billion in annual revenue.
The company began using Oracle Analytics Cloud, part of the Business Analytics platform, to innovate and provide customers with data and insightful predictions about their business. Oracle Analytics Cloud is a single platform that empowers your entire organization to ask any question of any data in any environment on any device. Oracle Cloud Platform (Platform as a Service) in general is designed to help customers take advantage of agility and innovation, and Genpact did exactly that.
Soumya Choudhury, an EPM Technology Competency Leader at Genpact, defined innovation as a means of making life better for both employees and customers.
Oracle Analytics Cloud Features: Data Collection and Analytics
One of the customers that Genpact works with is a giant aircraft manufacturer. Genpact has transformed the manufacturer’s business and helped them do more than just selling a finished good. Now they can collect data, run analytics, and gain valuable insights into their business to help improve manufacturing and customer service.
With Genpact’s help, the manufacturer can collect data during the takeoff, flight, and landing. They process that information in a big data platform and do analytics on top of it using both the Oracle platform and the custom solution from Genpact. They then use this data to predict things like when the engine needs servicing.
The data that they are collecting gives them a real-time understanding of what is happening with their customers, and they can make predictions for months into the future. That changes the complete business model for the aircraft manufacturing company and ultimately makes travel safer for their customers.
Innovation for All
Genpact has had a relationship with Oracle for a long time. This has made them understand the technology stack and transformations that Oracle is taking customers through, and they want to extend it to Genpact customers as well. Genpact’s goal is to extend Oracle services and digital technologies into a seamless process for their customers. Oracle transformation impacts Genpact, which impacts the aircraft manufacturer, which impacts the customers buying into airline travel. The chain of innovation continues to flow as each company extend Oracle services to their own customers.
