Hello PeopleSoft Community,
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Russell Broom, Vice President of PeopleSoft Strategy and Development at Oracle, to discuss the future of PeopleSoft, the exciting innovations coming in PeopleTools 8.63, and how Oracle is helping customers modernize their environments.
One of the biggest topics was AI enablement. Rather than locking customers into a specific AI solution, Oracle is building the infrastructure that allows organizations to leverage the Large Language Model (LLM) of their choice while using PeopleSoft’s existing functinality. The upcoming Natural Language Assistant is just one example of how AI will make interacting with PeopleSoft more intuitive while maintaining enterprise security and performance.
Russell also highlighted several enhancements designed to improve the user experience, including the new landing page, smarter notifications, semantic search, typo tolerance, and Code Assist for developers. Together, these features help users work more efficiently while making it easier for organizations to modernize and reduce technical debt.
Another important takeaway was the value of staying current. Many of these capabilities are only available in the latest PeopleTools releases, making upgrades more important than ever. Russell also encouraged customers to participate in the Oracle Ideas Lab and focus groups, reminding us that customer feedback plays a significant role in shaping the PeopleSoft roadmap.
The future of PeopleSoft is bright, and it’s clear that Oracle continues to invest in delivering modern capabilities that help organizations get more value from their existing PeopleSoft investment. If you’re planning your next upgrade, now is a great time to start exploring what’s coming in PeopleTools 8.63.
