Presented at INFOCUS 2024
Session ID: P-049457
How do you analyze your JD Edwards data?
For Rockline, it was mainly seeing the numbers from JDE reports in .csv format. Or if you were lucky, you had access to Spreadsheet Server, WebQuery, Data Browser, or a read-only connection to the database. However, this approach was limited and led to multiple reports with different numbers and no trust as to what was right or wrong.
As data visualization technologies continued to advance, business users started connecting those Excel reports to Power BI for better data visualization and insights. This meant IT now had to play catch up…
In this session, we’ll explore Rockline’s business intelligence journey to get the most out of JDE data and make smarter decisions. You will learn:
1. How we customized our analytics to Rockline’s business by adding our JDE custom tables and fields
2. How IT was able to leverage modern data architectures to enable business users to focus on finding value from the information instead of collecting and transforming it
3. How we started building trust in data and best practices you can use at your company
This session is eligible for IIBA and NASBA credits.
