“Modern app dev and microservice architectures have made observability an absolutely critical requirement for DevOps. Currently, there are a number of disparate tools which can make this difficult and inefficient. Furthermore, app and database observability tools are currently quite different and separate, as are on-prem and cloud-based tools. Grafana provides a single-pane-of-glass view of metrics, logs, and tracing with the ability to correlate and drill-down between them. Further, Oracle’s open source Unified Observability Exporters provide metrics, logs, and tracing into the database thus providing a highly-customizable end-to-end observability experience that is unique in the industry and entirely cloud native. In this session, we will describe the details of this solution and the simplicity involved in setting it up.”
