Abstract: This session discusses the implementation of an automated recruiting and onboarding solution at Stony Brook University, hospital, and veteran home. Using Oracle Taleo Enterprise integrated with PeopleSoft HCM, the project satisfied the need for a streamlined HR process within the complex landscape of our non-profit organization. We will examine key integration strategies, utilized tools and technologies–such as Taleo Connect Client, PeopleSoft Component Interface, Integration Broker, etc., which drove seamless integration with Campus Solutions and non-PeopleSoft applications for an end-to-end solution. Additionally, we will discuss the benefits, challenges encountered, lessons learned, and how operational efficiency improved through metrics and measurable outcomes. Learning objectives: 1. Participants will learn how to approach HR system integration in complex organizations with strategic thinking and effective decision making, and apply these strategies to their own institutions. 2. Impact of team work on success: Understand how different departments and their collaboration played a vital role in the success of this project, as it involved many internal and external stakeholders. 3. Gain insights into the business needs that drove the implementation, as well as the benefits of automating the recruiting and onboarding integration.
