This session was presented at RECONNECT Dive Deep 2025.
The Page and Field Configurator continues to be one of the most widely adopted tools to change the way pages look and behave without creating a customization. In this session, we’ll take a closer look at how you might implement PFC in your environment. We’ll discuss best practices for implementing multiple configurations for a component using sequences and the impact of applying sequences additively. We’ll discuss the importance of documenting the meaning of each configuration sequence, how system variables impact criteria, the role of the Advanced Tab to segregate functional from technical responsibilities and the use of PFC on search pages and prompts. We’ll also take a look at the event mapping created through the tool and cases where adjustments to event mapping might be necessary. Whether you are a beginner, advanced or expert user of PFC this session will provide you with important takeaways to consider implementing in your environment.
