On-Premises AI for PeopleSoft: Governed Data Retrieval Without Cloud Exposure
Presented by: David Gould, Shadeaux AI
Date/Time: TBD

This session demonstrates how organizations can deploy a local AI assistant on top of their existing PeopleSoft database — no cloud APIs, no data leaving the building, no changes to PeopleSoft itself. Attendees will see a working system that lets finance, supply chain, HR, and IT support teams ask natural-language questions ('What's our AP aging?', 'Show me overdue POs by vendor', 'How does the matching process work?') and receive governed, auditable answers drawn directly from their own PeopleSoft data through read-only Oracle views. We cover the four-path architecture — governed financial data, expert knowledge cards encoding decades of PeopleSoft implementation experience, PeopleBooks RAG for documentation lookup, and general knowledge — and show how each path is isolated so financial data never mixes with AI-generated content. The session includes a live demo across AR, AP, GL, Inventory, Purchasing, Cost Management, Asset Management, and HR modules running on NVIDIA DGX Spark hardware with a local 32-billion-parameter model. PeopleSoft administrators, functional analysts, IT directors, and CIOs will benefit from this session — particularly those in regulated industries (utilities, healthcare, shipping, government) where data sovereignty and audit traceability are non-negotiable. Attendees will learn how to architect governed views that enforce business unit isolation and read-only access, how to build a nine-layer compliance framework (OWASP, NIST AI RMF, SOX, SOC 2, GDPR) with 103 automated tests, and how to deliver AI-assisted reporting without the security and compliance risks of sending ERP data to external AI services. Whether you're exploring AI for the first time or evaluating how to protect your PeopleSoft investment while modernizing the user experience, this session provides a practical, field-tested blueprint.

The Internal Billing Makeover: Streamlining InterUnit Transactions for Better Results
Presented by: Jessica Mann, Mythics LLC
Date/Time: TBD

Dartmouth Health (DH) provides many services on behalf of other member affiliates, many of which are business units within their PeopleSoft System.  DH was taking advantage of some interunit functionality as well as some system billing via Contracts.  However, many of the intercompany transactions still required manual work and the settling of cash between the units using invoices and items in Accounts Receivable became increasingly time consulting and subject to human error.  DH embarked on an optimization project to better automate and expedite the processing of interunit charges.  Come learn about their requirements, solutions considered, and the approach chosen as well as implementation lessons learned.

Your Telemetry Is the Bottleneck: What an AI Agent Found in a PeopleSoft Environment
Presented by: Joe Finlinson, Mythics LLC
Date/Time: TBD

Every PeopleSoft team is being asked some version of the same question right now: can an AI agent help us run this environment? Mythics built one and pointed it at performance triage to find out. This session walks through four real incidents, including a GL batch runtime drift the agent traced to a specific change request, a recurring PIA slowdown it could only partially explain, and a payroll calculation anomaly where a permissive instruction set produced a confident root cause that named specific employees with no evidence behind it. Same incident, same data, a different instruction set, and the answer became 'cannot determine from available evidence.' That difference is the whole ballgame, and it is a design decision, not a model capability. The larger finding was that the agent was rarely the constraint. The environment was. Investigations stalled on missing per-step Application Engine timing, per-handler Integration Broker thread accounting, row-level auditing that was never configured on payroll setup records, AWR retention capped at the default eight days, and change records scattered across tickets rather than tied to a timeline. Attendees will leave with the specific read access an investigating agent needs in PeopleSoft, a prioritized list of the telemetry gaps to close before an agent is worth deploying along with rough effort and cost for each, and a concrete look at how instruction design separates an agent that admits uncertainty from one that confabulates convincingly. No product pitch and no roadmap speculation, just what worked, what did not, and what has to be true in your environment first.

Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) implemented GT eForms in 2022 and started moving from PDFs and manual processes to traceable, automated processes using GT eForms. A few examples of what we have built include student request forms, new program/plan creation requests for staff, and test result loading automation. Gone are the PDFs, lost emails and time wasted tracking down requests. Every new process we move into GT eForms is a new way to look at how workflows can become more efficient and easier to use for the user.

Think Like an Analyst: Turning Business Problems into Advanced PS Queries
Presented by: Alina Longoria, University of Houston System
Date/Time: TBD

Advanced PS Query is one of the most powerful tools in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, yet many functional analysts use only a fraction of its capabilities. When delivered functionality doesn't fully meet business needs, knowing how to translate a business problem into an effective query can make all the difference. In this session, the University of Houston System will share a real-world case study in which the absence of a Department of Education Pell awarding chart left the institution without a delivered method to validate Pell awards. Rather than relying on custom development, we applied a structured, functional approach to identify business requirements, locate the appropriate PeopleSoft records and relationships, and build an advanced PS Query that accurately validated student awards. More importantly, this session is not just about Pell. Attendees will learn a repeatable framework for transforming business requirements into advanced PS Queries that can be applied across Campus Solutions. We'll discuss techniques for identifying the right data, interpreting business rules, selecting appropriate query methods, and validating results to create meaningful reports that solve real operational challenges. Whether you support Financial Aid, Student Records, Student Financials, Admissions, or another functional area, you'll leave with practical strategies for building advanced queries that extend delivered functionality and increase confidence in your reporting.

PeopleSoft as a Platform – Modern Strategies for the Cloud Era
Presented by: Aaron Engelsrud, Capella University
Date/Time: TBD

PeopleSoft is too often treated as a legacy application to be maintained, patched, and defended. This session reframes it as a platform — a stable, strategic core that can be extended, integrated, and built around rather than boxed in. We begin with the shift from an application mindset to a platform mindset, where value moves from features to capabilities, and APIs, events, and services turn ERP into part of a broader ecosystem. From there we examine hybrid ERP architecture and why cloud without strategy fails: lift-and-shift relocates the same problems, increases cost without efficiency, and leaves cloud-native capability on the table. Integration, not customization, emerges as the real modernization layer. The second half turns practical. We walk the build-provision-configure toolchain — Packer for repeatable base images, Terraform for infrastructure as code, Chef for role-based runtime configuration of web, app, process scheduler, and Integration Broker tiers — so environments can be rebuilt instead of repaired. We then cover the operational model this demands: the shift from administrator to platform engineer, a DevSecOps posture, observability that moves teams from logs to metrics to insights and from reactive firefighting to proactive operations, and security treated as architecture rather than a set of controls. The session closes with common anti-patterns to avoid, a staged roadmap, and a clear thesis: the future isn't replacing PeopleSoft — it's building around it.

Student Expense Claims with GT eForms in FSCM - Bonus Sneak Peek at Insights Dashboard!
Presented by: Jessica Claeys, Western University Canada
Date/Time: TBD

Do your students (undergrads, graduate students, residents, post docs, or fellows) struggle to get reimbursed for conference travel, memberships, or supplies? Are administrators bogged down filling out claim forms on their behalf? At Western University, moving from paper to electronic claim forms during COVID solved many challenges and streamlined processing. But no good deed goes unpunished: because students weren’t able to access PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) where reimbursements are processed, the burden shifted to administrators to submit claims for them. Our solution was to provide limited FSCM access to empower students to submit their own expense claims, paid by direct deposit to their Student Center bank account – no cheques or FSCM vendor profile setups required! Bonus: We’ll also showcase our PeopleSoft Insights dashboard developed in partnership with Gideon Taylor, which provides administrators with real-time visibility into student (and guest) expense claims. With dynamic visualizations, the dashboard tracks total active forms, forms grouped by approver and cost center, completed forms over time to highlight peak periods, and form summary details that are filtered automatically as you explore the data and drill into visualizations, boosting efficiency and transparency for administrators.

Customizations Insights Deployed in FSCM! We Were Amazed at the Results
Presented by: Bennett Walker, MIPRO Consulting
Date/Time: TBD

Customization Insights Dashboard was delivered in 8.62 and enhanced significantly in 8.63, and for the first time in PeopleSoft history, true installation to delivered image customization analytics is available and at our fingertips. Knowing where those customizations are, how significant they are and tracking them is the first and most important step in managing the level of customization. In this session we will walk through how to deploy Customization Insights and what lessons we learned by doing so and how these insights will drive future isolated customizations and recognize the cost of customizations that are kept. We will talk through how a new project that hasn't gone live yet can be reviewed at a high level to understand the real impact to the modules that are being implemented. This has been done on the FSCM side, but all of these metrics and procedures are virtually the same on the HCM side as well.
