The United States Army’s Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A) is responsible for the human capital management for 1.3 million soldiers. In this session you will learn about the largest PeopleSoft deployment in history. Colonel Mikesh will discuss the challenges and successes along their journey, including how the Army was able to leverage agile to incrementally deploy PeopleSoft to such a large and global user base. One of the hallmark features of IPPS-A is the Army’s custom 25-point profile that is powered by PeopleSoft Profile Management and provides the Army valuable insights into the talent and skills of each soldier.

The State of Kansas is responsible for filing 1042-S forms with the IRS for any foreign person’s U.S.-earned income subject to withholding. The majority of these individuals are paid by the state’s public universities, which each have their own finance systems separate from the state’s central PeopleSoft systems. For years, since PeopleSoft Financials does not deliver functionality to produce 1042-S forms, the universities submitted paper records to the central state accounting office and these were entered into an Access database which generated the IRS forms.

In this session we will share our most recent Lease Administration customer's story. A large international mining company needed to implement and transition to the new ASC 842 accounting standards. The implementation needed to be completed with-in 4 months project milestones were on a tight timeline. Working closely with the client we were able to put a plan in place to successfully implement Lease Administration and provide the training and knowledge transfer needed for the customer to be self-sufficient at the end of the project.
