SDCOE began a 5-year journey in 2016 to bring over 50 disparate schools district live on a single PeopleSoft environment (HCM & Finance). Leveraging a private cloud and common business processes, the district office of education set out with its implementation partner to implement PeopleSoft Financial, Procurement and HR/Payroll modules in a phased approach over a 5-year period. While the final group of districts went into production in 2018, we have continued to deploy additional districts and new PeopleSoft functionality over the ensuing years, while managing regular hardware infrastructure, PUM and Tools upgrades in our shared services environment.

Managing a rigorous update schedule, new features and functionality, and maintaining over a dozen PeopleSoft environments has not been without its challenges. In this session we will summarize our initial deployment, but will be spending most of our time reviewing how the SDCOE/CRT provides day-to-day service management activities in assisting our customers, the districts we serve.
