The last few years have seen a huge shift in how companies do business. *Remote work has isolated employees from day to day support. *Staffing turn-over has made big dents in institutional knowledge. *Business interruptions, staffing reductions and a constantly evolving workplace has added layers of complications to just getting the job done. JD Edwards Fixed Assets is not unique in having issues arising from less than ideal circumstances but typically is the last to receive the TLC it needs and deserves. This presentation will be updating prior presentations of not only JDE Fixed Asset basics and best practice processes, but will include background on F/A transaction processing as well as discussions and examples of other functionality that will help keep your Fixed Assets in good shape with the least amount of manpower. For those new to JDE, people in need training, or a refresher for staff or managers, this is the session for you.
Objectives
The discussion will start by breaking down JD Edwards Fixed Assets into it's basic pieces. Key Tables, Asset Masters, Asset Balances, Location tracking and a high level overview of JDE integrations with Inventory, Eq.
Maintenance and other modules. A review of Fixed Asset Transaction Processing will be the highlight.
Depreciation, Transfers & Disposals will be discussed with Tips & Tricks as well as basic troubleshooting.
This portion will touch on basic Fixed Asset system setup: AAI’s, Defaults, Disposal Rules and UDC’s.
We will discuss important concepts to understand when starting work in JD Edwards Fixed Assets, allowing for future use of functionality.
