Still on the fence about upgrading from World to EnterpriseOne? Oracle has previously announced that extended support for A9.4 will expire in 2025, so World customers need to begin planning for their future ERP needs today (if they haven't already). While there are numerous benefits for users, it still requires significant planning to be successful. There can be substantial change in all three areas (people, process, and technology) that will need to be addressed. If each is not given enough consideration, the results could be painful. Join us as we discuss a recent World to E1 upgrade projects, in hopes that it will prepare you for your upcoming project. We will discuss a recent case study in order to help provide more perspective. Some of the primary benefits were that it allowed the business the opportunity to redesign business processes, eliminate numerous software customizations that were not cost justified to maintain, redesign their entire security model, and automate several interfaces / manual processes thru utilizing the new Orchestrator capabilities. Join us as we discuss our recent upgrade experience in order to help prepare you for your journey! Objectives We will discuss our overall project structure as well as discuss all major phases / activities in detail in order to provide plenty of advice for you and your upcoming project. We will discuss the technical aspects, including 3rd-party interfaces, data migrations, and other enhancements that were part of our project. As well, we will discuss how to use the JDE Orchestrator to benefit your business and lower project costs! Last we will provide our valuable lessons learned throughout this project.

Are you tired of spending all day in Outlook communicating with carriers in order to tender your shipments/loads? And then toggling back into JDE to assign carriers once they have accepted? The ability to auto tender a carrier, or even better to cycle through a priority list of carriers, could save a substantial amount of time, not to mention the additional savings from always selecting the lowest cost provider to issue a tender, instead of choosing a carrier based on how quickly they respond to your e-mails. Many JDE clients prefer the natural integration the JDE Transportation module has with the other distribution modules, but suffer from a lack of advanced features. Join us as we discuss how we enhanced JDE in order to design an auto tendering solution to increase overall freight profitability, as well as to allow for real time communication with transportation carriers. If you are already using the JDE Transportation module, this is one session you do not want to miss! Objectives We will discuss the standard functionality available within the Transportation module, as well as some missing advanced features that most modern transportation solutions already have. We will explain the auto tendering solution we designed in JDE, which could handle both e-mail and EDI tendering processes, in order to provide this advanced functionality, while also not compromising the existing standard functionality Last we will provide our valuable lessons learned throughout this project, as well as some other valuable enhancements that we designed too.

A common challenge for companies trying to manage their Procure-to-Pay business process is encountered when trying to implement the segregation of duties & other controls mandated for Sarbanes-Oxley and Audit compliance. Whereas materials & parts procurement have JDE applications that easily support the 3-way match of Purchase Order – Receipt – Payment Voucher, companies procuring Services from Contractors are frequently faced with the dilemma of how to perform a Receipt of Services? All too often, companies arrive at a hodge-podge of process and JDE usage, ranging from flip-flopping the quantity and extended price fields on the PO, forwarding invoices via mail to the original requestor of services procurement for a “manual approval to pay,” and external software systems managing “A/P approvers.” With the new Contractor Services Module for EnterpriseOne, managing Contractor Services procurement has never been easier. In this Session you will see how this EnterpriseOne native module allows your company to overcome the challenges that plague your Procurement, Operations, and Accounts Payables groups.
Need to create a $1M “Standing” Purchase Order to a Contractor for providing services over the next year, but ensure the PO# referenced on the Vendor Invoices remains consistent throughout the duration of the drawdown of available funds?...no problem.
Planning Contractor Services on a Work Order, or having a Contractor submit Time/Expense/Rental Equipment against WO’s that were simply delegated to them?...no problem.
Positive Receipt of Services inside JDE which enables Voucher Matching up to the amount of the received Services?...again, no problem.
