You might have heard, "It's all about the data," and let's face it: the only reason you put data into your JD Edwards ERP system is because one day, for some reason, you'll need to get it back out. You'll need to share it with third-party systems and Cloud services; you'll need to push it to mobile devices and web applications; you'll need to generate documents and reports; you'll need to chart and graph it for analysis and insight about your business. Orchestrator can be your workhorse for extracting data from your EnterpriseOne business data, and even from third party systems, but how? And how many ways are there to do it? As it turns out, there are a lot of ways. Come to this session to get a survey of the many ways Orchestrator can help you mine and refine your "digital gold."

Certified Origins uses JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.2 on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to support their digital transformation process. Leveraging EnterpriseOne's digital platform including Orchestrator, they became one of the first in their industry to implement Blockchain technology, using Oracle's Blockchain platform, to monitor and track their Bellucci premium extra virgin olive oil from the Italian bottling facility to the port of arrival. With REST services called by Orchestrator, Certified Origins records in Blockchain, in real time, purchase orders, goods received, sales orders, shipments, and customer invoices. By doing this they have unified intercompany logistics standards, improved order processing from different branches and streamlined warehouse management. For financials, the system provides rapid and flexible data queries.

Calling all JD Edwards developers! This one's for you. You spend your time and talents solving the business' most technical challenges. You develop. You customize. You code. You create. And still there is a backlog of requests from business users that seems endless. Wouldn't faster be better? Faster development; faster testing; faster (and easier) deployment into test and production systems. Take a deep breath: logic extensions are here. Join this session to see how your development experience can be transformed using a new—yet somehow familiar—no code/low code approach to extensions without customizations. And don't worry, with data structures, business functions, While loops, If/Then/Else branching, system functions, table I/O, aggregations, arrays, and several other capabilities, there is plenty of "tech" to keep your skills sharp and your development expertise in high demand.

All JD Edwards organization need to keep their software components updated to avoid obsolescence and most importantly, to keep the system secure against known security vulnerabilities and glitches. Two components that often are not kept updated are the Java JDK (Java Development Kit) and JRE (Java Runtime Environment). Objectives The standard installation process makes cumbersome to update the software within the Oracle WebLogic, JD Edwards, and Server Manager Agents. This session is designed to address this task and make easier for System Administrators to maintain the servers in good working order. Learning the details of how the Weblogic servers are configured to access the JDK/JRE components. Learning a best practice to keep simple the update of the Java Software on JD Edwards related servers.
