No More Emails: How Comoto Automated Vendor Collaboration from PO to Payment
Comoto is America’s largest powersports aftermarket retailer with 150 stores nationwide and over 90 years of combined experience serving motorcycle enthusiasts everywhere. Comoto has implemented a comprehensive Vendor Self-Service (VSS) solution designed to modernize and streamline vendor interactions throughout the purchasing lifecycle. The no-code/low-code based platform empowers vendors to independently review, acknowledge, and modify purchase orders (POs) within a unified, user-friendly portal. By reducing manual intervention and email-based coordination, the VSS solution enhances transparency, accuracy, and responsiveness between Comoto’s procurement teams and their vendor network. The result is a more agile supply chain process that improves data integrity and minimizes administrative overhead. Fully integrated with JD Edwards (JDE), the solution provides end-to-end automation from PO creation through voucher entry, ensuring real-time synchronization and seamless transactional flow. Vendors gain immediate visibility into PO status, shipment details, and payment updates, while Comoto gains greater control and auditability over procurement activities. This presentation will demonstrate how the VSS platform not only simplifies vendor engagement but also delivers measurable efficiency gains and improved collaboration across the organization’s sourcing ecosystem.

OH Wait… Should I Have Gotten a Prenup?
Much like a relationship, entering into a supplier contract feels secure—until things change. What happens when your trusted partner—whether a managed services provider or hosting vendor—is acquired, restructures, or sells off key operations? Suddenly, you’re trying to exit a high-stakes agreement with a different team than the one you negotiated with—and those “standard terms” you relied on may not offer the protection you expected. Even before that point, bumps and stumbles can happen early in the relationship. Maybe you were sold a “completed” solution that turns out to be built just for you in real time—or a bid that looked like a bargain at the start leads to a series of change orders and mounting project overruns. These red flags can quickly turn what felt like a partnership into a long-term commitment you didn’t bargain for. This session explores the often-overlooked risks in long-term vendor relationships, especially when it comes to managed services and hosting agreements. You’ll learn: •Why typical exit language and boilerplate legal terms fail in the face of M&A activity •How shifts in ownership, support models, or service levels can impact your contractual rights—and your JD Edwards ecosystem •What to watch for in proposals and project scopes to avoid low-bid traps, hidden development costs, and “custom-built” surprises •What to include when negotiating MSAs and hosting contracts to ensure flexibility, protection, and clear exit strategies The session will close with an open discussion about real-world issues participants have faced in vendor and hosting relationships and a collaborative list of action items organizations can take to strengthen agreements, mitigate risk, and protect themselves when things change.

Are We Winning or Losing the Day? How Little Rapids Transformed JDE Manufacturing Data into Actionable Insight
For manufacturers on JD Edwards, the data needed to optimize the shop floor is often trapped by complex data structures and cryptic tables. This makes timely reporting a slow, manual struggle, leaving managers to ask, “Are we winning or losing the day?” without a clear answer. Join Steve Gerth, Systems Development Manager, of Little Rapids, for a deep dive into their manufacturing analytics transformation. This session details their journey beyond standard JDE reporting to develop powerful, automated production dashboards in Power BI. Learn how they rapidly unlocked and translated their complex JDE data into a clear, unified model for analysis. We’ll showcase how this provided granular visibility into production results—by day, by shift, and even by the hour—empowering their operations teams to optimize processes and pave the way for future AI-driven initiatives. Key Takeaways •Strategies for overcoming common JDE data complexities (Julian dates, cryptic schemas) for analytics. •How to move from static, manual reports to dynamic, hourly production dashboards in Power BI. •Tips for developing and standardizing KPIs to create one source of truth. •Techniques to accelerate analytics deployment and bypass traditional multi-year build cycles. •How to build a scalable, AI-ready data foundation on top of your JDE system to future-proof your analytics strategy.

Seeing the Work Sooner: Leveraging Citizen Developer Frameworks and ReportsNow for End-to-End Job Tracking
We are a precast concrete company managing long-duration jobs that span multiple years—from initial booking to final production. Historically, JD Edwards only reflected production activity after engineering drawings were approved, leaving a critical visibility gap during the “Out for Approval” (OFA) phase. This made forecasting and scheduling difficult, as we lacked system-level insight into what was approaching production. To solve this, we leveraged JD Edwards’ Citizen Developer Frameworks—including Composed Pages, Orchestrator, Grid Personalizations, and Form Extensions—alongside ReportsNow, Excel, and SQL to create an end-to-end job tracking solution. We standardized our Configurator, built an Excel tool to build configuration data, and used SQL to stage and flag OFA and RFP statuses. The Excel tool standardizes and formats the data to correspond with custom grids to make sales order entry more efficient and accurate. Engineers validate configurations using ReportsNow and trigger an Orchestration to release jobs to production. Exception reports and dashboards ensure accuracy and provide real-time visibility. This session will share how we closed the forecasting gap, empowered business users, and scaled a low-code reporting solution across the organization.

Driving Efficiency in Distribution with JD Edwards Orchestrator
Oracle’s introduction of Orchestrations has transformed how organizations streamline processes by reducing manual tasks and eliminating non-value-added activities. The challenge, however, lies in identifying which orchestrations deliver the greatest impact. This session explores how the Business Analyst team at MacLean-Fogg partnered across multiple plant locations to optimize distribution workflows using JD Edwards Orchestrator. Through a series of standard work training sessions, the team gathered direct user feedback and developed targeted orchestrations that minimize manual effort and enhance data accuracy. Key solutions include automating route and delivery updates by shipment number, enabling users to generate carton/container codes without IT intervention, and processing inbound EDI for specific document. These orchestrations empower end users, improve operational efficiency, and demonstrate a scalable approach to digital transformation.
