Title: PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Data Purge Project: Approach, Challenges, and Lessons Learned

Summary: Data growth is a common challenge for many institutions, bringing increased storage and backup costs, operational overhead, and long term sustainability concerns. In this session, we will share our experience planning and executing a large scale data purge initiative in Oracle’s PeopleSoft Campus Solutions that resulted in the removal of approximately 15 TB of data across multiple environments. The presentation will cover how we identified purge candidates, analyzed dependencies, managed risks, executed the purge, and established an ongoing process for maintaining data volumes moving forward. We will also discuss key challenges, lessons learned, outcomes achieved, and practical recommendations for institutions considering similar efforts.
