SCM – Product Help: New Improved Acquisition Cost Logic Default from 24C

Get ready for the new and improved acquisition cost logic as default starting update 24C. We strongly recommend you go through this training to understand more about this change. We also encourage you to start enabling the feature and begin testing of your business flows and get ready.

This session will covers key concepts and recent enhancements to the acquisition cost adjustment logic in SCM Cost Management.

The redesigned acquisition cost processor, a sub-processor that handles all purchase related transactions, includes substantial benefits over the existing logic like:

• Full absorption of invoice variances for all scenarios including partial receipts
• Reconciliation improvements for receiving inspection account
• Better handling for foreign currency purchases

This feature was released in 23A and becomes standard from 24C and hence customers are requested to review feature details and make themselves familiar with the changes.
