2020 Distinguished Service Award Winner: Brian Mentel

Tell us a little about your company.

RF-SMART is a mobile barcoding solution for Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud, improving accuracy, productivity, and profitability for over 1,000 Cloud customers worldwide. RF-SMART has been working directly with Oracle’s Product Team to develop a real-time application that delivers functionality for Inventory, Manufacturing, and PAR Management. What is your job title and what do you do in your role?

My title is Director of Professional Services. My responsibility is to ensure successful RF-SMART for Oracle Cloud implementations are delivered by the services team as well as continued customer satisfaction and partnership.

What Oracle product do you use and what do you like most about it?

As an Oracle partner, RF-SMART specializes in mobilizing Inventory, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Fixed Assets, and PAR (Healthcare). What I like the most is that core functionality across these functional areas is strong and all have web service support to allow RF-SMART to seamlessly mobilize traditional PC-based transactions.

How long have you been involved with Quest?

I’ve been involved with Quest for five years.

How have you benefit from being part of Quest Oracle Community?

Living in the services arena, the Quest Oracle Community is a great way to meet actual users and owners of the ERP. Typically, introductions to RF-SMART are made at the executive level, but I greatly value the relationships made with IT and business leads to discuss how RF-SMART can further improve the ROI of going to Oracle Cloud.

What’s one interesting fact about you?

I was blessed with triplet girls that are now 5 years old! I love what I do at RF-SMART and being “crazy for our customers,” but I also love ending the day seeing their smiling faces.

Do you have any children or pets?

Aside from the triplet girls, I also have a 4-year-old daughter. Before we had kids, we had and still have the four-legged variety. We have two mini Dachshunds and a Golden Retriever.
