JD Edwards CRM - Crediting a Service Order

Did you know that you can automatically credit a service order to reduce error based on a new processing option that is added to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Manage Work Order Parts (P90CD015), the Capital Asset Management (CAM) Manage Work Order Parts (P13730), and the Work Order Parts Detail (P17730) applications?

You must activate the Reverse Sign option for the credit line type before you use the functionality. Access the Work with Line Types form (P40205). On the form, select the credit line type and click “OK.” On the credit line type, select the Reverse Sign option and click “OK” to activate.

Now you have to set the new processing option line type that is added to the CRM Manage Work Order Parts (P90CD015), CAM Manage Work Order Parts (P13730), and the Work Order Parts Detail (P17730) applications.

Let’s consider the CRM Manage Work Order Parts application as an example. Access the Work with Interactive Versions form and enter P90CD015 in the Interactive Application field to access JD Edwards CRM Manage Work Order Parts. Select the ZJDE0001 version of CRM Manage Work Order Parts. Click “Row” and “Processing Options” to open the Processing Options.

Processing Options

On the Processing Options page, select the Process tab and enter “C” in the line type processing option.

Access the Search for Service Work Order form (P90CD020) to search for or create your service order. Click on the Parts Detail of the service order. You can see that the line type field shows “C.”

When you enter an estimated quantity and tap down, both the estimated quantity and the extended cost automatically get reverse signs. This is because you have already activated the Reverse Sign option in the credit line type constant. Therefore, you can automatically credit a service order and reduce error.

Similarly, you can also use this functionality in CAM Manage Work Order Parts (P13730) and the Work Order Parts Detail (P17730) applications.
