In an earlier blog, we went through the details of Erlanger Health System’s (EHS) successful integration of Taleo Recruiting and Onboarding with their PeopleSoft Core HR Systems. From EHS’s experience and Bruner’s expertise, users can ask these critical questions and/or learn from these lessons before integrating Taleo with PeopleSoft.
Questions for Users and Lessons Learned
From EHS’s experience and Bruner’s expertise, users can ask these critical questions and/or learn from these lessons.
- Can your base system accept and generate CSV or XML files? If so, there’s a lot of power and flexibility available to you in integrating with Taleo.
- Define your scope. Identify the highest impact and value-add integrations first and start simple. Use the success of those to build a business case for future enhancements.
- Map or code in your base system to support your overall future system maintenance and gain added benefit from using a TCC resource. Many users do not realize TCC must be downloaded and stored and has usage limits. Compare your existing structure with TCC’s software and hardware requirements.
- What is your conversion strategy? There is a benefit to gradual phasing out of a legacy system instead of a clean cut over conversion.
- Start with small test loads of ten records or less before increasing the volume of records.
