Meet the Board: Bryan Brewer of Womble Company

Bryan Brewer, Information Technology and Operations Manager at the Womble Company has been a member of the Quest Board of Directors since 2018. Elected by his board peers as an Officer At-Large, Bryan serves on the Board’s Executive Committee and has held the role of Treasurer since 2021. In the Treasurer’s role, Bryan is charged with overseeing the management and reporting of the organization’s finances including facilitating and encouraging the board’s strategic thinking about the short and long-term financial viability of the organization. In 2022, Bryan will also serve on the Quest Strategy Committee, the Executive Programming Taskforce and the Nominating Committee.
At Womble, a leading provider of internal and external pipeline coating systems, Bryan is a Senior Technology Leader experienced in delivering efficient business solutions, problem solving, strategic planning, and organization development. He has experience in solutions architecture design, development and optimization in Finance, Supply Chain/Distribution/Logistics, Manufacturing, EDI and Management Reporting applications; multiple lifecycle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Oracle/JD Edwards) implementations, upgrades and support. Prior to Womble, Bryan held positions with numerous IT organizations including the CD Group, Huffy Corporation and MCSi and brings over 35 years of experience in Purchasing, Receiving, Sales Order Processing Inventory Control, Manufacturing, and Accounting Systems.
Womble has been a member of Quest for the past 8 years and Bryan has been a member dating back to his first Quest in-person event held in Denver in 1999. When asked why he and his company are such big fans of Quest, Bryan says, “Quest has become a vital resource to help us find solutions to new business challenges as we test new applications updates or tools release updates and try to find methods and means of streamlining our business while taking cost out of our day-to-day operations.” For the past twenty years, Bryan has continuously promoted and advocated on behalf of Quest in many ways including being a member of the Quest Manufacturing & Distribution Advisory Group. He became interested in serving on the Quest board to “have an opportunity to give back to the community that has been an important part of my professional career.” As far as value, “I am a firm believer that you get out of Quest only by being engaged and participating. Webinars, SIGs, the Education and all the conferences are there for the taking, but you must invest your time to make your membership meaningful and worthwhile.”
Originally from Ohio, where he attended the University of Cincinnati and studied Information Technology, Bryan now resides in Houston. In his spare time, he can be found listening to music, riding his bike, coaching Little League baseball, and attempting to play golf. He especially enjoys taking trips to visit his kids and granddaughter in Cincinnati or to vacation with them when he has some down time.
